Am Dienstag genoss ich den Morgen im wundervollen
Apartment 4 Buregate in Felixtowe (https://stayinsuffolk.com/4-buregate-house-felixstowe) meine übliche Routine mit
Duolingo, Meditation, Morgenyoga und packte. Um 11 Uhr war ich bereit für meine
Weiterreise Richtung Norden... Ich verbrachte fast den ganzen Tag im Auto und
fuhr wie immer so nah wie möglich der Küste entlang mit vielen Fotopausen...
On Tuesday morning, I enjoyed my usual routine at the wonderful 4 Buregate Apartment in Felixtowe (https://stayinsuffolk.com/4-buregate-house-felixstowe), doing Duolingo, meditation, morning yoga, and I packed. By 11 am, I was ready to continue my journey direction north. I spent almost the entire day in the car driving as close to the coast as possible, as always, with plenty of photo stops…

Nach 300 km und einkaufen unterwegs, erreichte ich
um 20 Uhr The Hidden Gem (https://www.thehiddengems.co.uk) in Mablethrope. Das winzige
Apartment war wirklich versteckt: hinter einer Gartentür in einer kleinen
Seitengasse - klein aber fein! : )
Da ich mit meinem Auto reise, ist eines der
wichtigsten Dinge ein Parkplatz (in der Nähe der Wohnung). Parkieren war bisher
auch kein Problem, ich hatte genügend Parkmöglichkeiten auf den Strassen um die
Wohnungen: Auf den meisten Strassen in Orten ist für die Durchfahrt Platz für nur
1 Auto... eben weil auf den
Strassenseiten Autos parkiert sind...
Aber englische Fahrer sind nicht nur Gentlemen, sondern schauen auch gut
voraus, weil sie sich wahrscheinlich schon an diese Situation gewohnt haben und
die Situation effizient lösen wollen… - Trotzdem ist es manchmal nicht ganz
klar, was erlaubt ist und was nicht (siehe Foto)!? In diesem Fall fragte ich einen
Kontrolleur und er antwortete, dass vor 11 Uhr niemand eine Busse erhält...
After 300 km and some shopping along the way, I arrived at The Hidden Gem (https://www.thehiddengems.co.uk) in Mablethrope at 8 pm. The tiny apartment was truly hidden: tucked away behind a garden gate in a small side street - small but excellent! : )
Since I travel by car, one of the most important things is parking (near the apartment). This hasn't been a problem so far; I've had plenty of parking along the streets around the apartments. On most streets in towns, there's only room for one car to pass through... precisely because cars are parked on the sides of the road. But English drivers aren't just gentlemen; They also look ahead carefully, probably because they're used to this situation and want to handle it efficiently… - Sometimes it's even difficult to know what's allowed and what isn't (see photo)!? In this case, I asked a traffic warden and he replied, that no one gets a ticket before 11 am…

Das Wetter wurde wärmer, sonniger und
folglich weniger regnerisch. Auch in Mablethrope wohnte ich in der Nähe eines
endlosen Strands - ideal für Spaziergänge und joggen! : )
The weather became warmer, sunnier, and consequently less rainy. In Mablethrope, I stayed near an endless beach too - ideal for walks and runs! : )

Am Freitag war ein Hitzetag an der Ostküste
Englands: Um 10 Uhr morgens zeigte das Thermometer bereits 25° C an und
kletterte dann bis auf 30! Ich fuhr eine kleine Runde zuerst der Küsten entlang
Richtung Süden nach Skegness und auf dem Rückweg besuchte ich ein paar hübsche alte
Marktorte: Burgh le Marsh, Spilby und Alford.

Friday was a scorcher on the east coast of England:
At 10 am the thermometer already showed 25° C and then climbed up to 30! I took
a short drive, first along the coast heading south to Skegness, and on the way
back I visited a few pretty old market towns: Burgh le Marsh, Spilby and
Alford.
