Nach einem perfekten Ankommen in Grossbritannien im
Marina Hotel & SPA (https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/rcsdmup-dover-marina-hotel-and-spa) in Dover, machte ich mich am
Dienstag auf Richtung Norden... so viel wie möglich der Ostküste entlang... Es
gab viel zu sehen unterwegs, einmal musste ich sogar Maut zahlen für eine
private Durchfahrt...
After a perfect arrival in Great Britain at the Marina Hotel & SPA in Dover (https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/rcsdmup-dover-marina-hotel-and-spa), I set off northwards on Tuesday morning... as much as possible along the east coast... There was so much to see along the way; at one point I even had to pay a toll for a private road…

Es waren nur etwa 40 km bis nach Ramsgate in Kent,
dem Garten Englands, wo ist für eine Woche ein Apartment gemietet hatte.
Bereits als ich ins liebliche Städtchen reinfuhr, hatte es sich mir gleich
angetan! So auch meine Wohnung Henriette (https://www.myseasideluxury.co.uk/all-homes-ramsgate-broadstairs/p/henriette-ramsgate)! : )
It was only about 40 km to Ramsgate in Kent, the Garden of England, where I had rented an apartment for a week. As soon as I drove into the charming little town, I fell in love with it! Das Wetter war sehr regnerisch diese Woche, zum
Glück nicht den ganzen Tag! Am besten man nahm alles mit sich, denn das Wetter
konnte jede halbe Stunde abrupt ändern: heisse Sonne, kühler Regen oder
unglaubliche Windböen.
The weather was very rainy this week, thankfully not all day long! It was best to take everything with you, as the weather could change abruptly every half hour: hot sun, cool rain or incredible gusts of wind.

Am Donnerstag unternahm ich eine Ausfahrt nach
Margate, einem benachbarten Städtchen am Meer... dort lockte die Muschelgrotte
(https://www.shellgrotto.co.uk): unterirdische Gänge und Räume
durchwegs dekoriert mit Muscheln - niemand weiss, wer es anfertigte und wann!?
- Völlig egal, es ist so oder so absolut faszinierend!
On Thursday, I took a trip to Margate, a neighboring seaside town... there, the Shell Grotto (https://www.shellgrotto.co.uk) beckoned: underground passages and chambers decorated throughout with shells – nobody knows who made them or when! It doesn't matter at all, it's absolutely fascinating!
