Am Dienstag nahm ich die 250 km Richtung Norden
nach Felixtowe in Angriff. Zuerst fuhr ich aber der Küste entlang der Halbinsel
Thanes nach Herne Bay und dann zu den Docks von Chatham...
On Tuesday I set off on my 250 km journey north to Felixtowe. First I drove along the coast of the Thanes Peninsula to Herne Bay and then on to the Chatham docks...

Um 16:30 Uhr erreichte ich mein Apartment 4
Buregate (https://stayinsuffolk.com/4-buregate-house-felixstowe) in Felixtowe: sehr hell mit
viel Platz und rundum Meersicht - voller Freude richtete ich mich hier ein! : )
At 4:30 pm, I arrived at my apartment 4 Buregate (https://stayinsuffolk.com/4-buregate-house-felixstowe) in Felixtowe: very bright with plenty of space and a panoramic sea view – I happily settled in! : )

Da das Wetter aber nicht immer auf der sonnigen
Seite war, hatte ich mir am Donnerstag das Riverhills SPA (https://www.riverhills.co.uk) in Ipswich ausgesucht, wo ich
den ganzen Tag verbrachte und genoss - einfach nur herrlich bei diesem grauen
Regenwetter! : )
Since the weather wasn't always on the sunny side, I chose the Riverhills Spa (https://www.riverhills.co.uk) in Ipswich for Thursday, where I spent the whole day enjoying – simply wonderful in the gray, rainy weather! : )

Wenn es aber nicht so ganz grau in grau war, war es
herrlich am endlosen Strand zu joggen oder spazieren...
But when it wasn't completely overcast, it was wonderful to go for a run or a walk along the endless beach...

Am Sonntag unternahm ich mit der Hafenfähre (https://theharbourferry.co.uk) eine Rundfahrt: Der erste Halt
war Harwich, wo ich 2 Stunden später tatsächlich die Fähre nach Shorty
verpasste, obschon ich in der Nähe wartete... das war aber kein Problem, denn
sie fährt im Stundentakt... nochmals 1 Stunden später fuhr ich mit ihr in 7
Minuten nach Shorty... und 1 Stunde später war ich an Bord zurück nach
Felixtowe. : )

On Sunday
I took a round trip on the Harbour Ferry (https://theharbourferry.co.uk): The
first stop was Harwich, where I indeed missed the ferry to Shorty 2 hours
later, even though I was waiting nearby... but that wasn't a problem as it runs
hourly... another hour later I took it to Shorty, which arrived there in seven
minutes... and an hour after, I was back on board to Felixtowe. : )
